Our kids’ ministry is called “The Gospel Kids.” After much thoughts and discussions, we came up with this descriptive title. Our desire is to fashion the entire kids’ ministry after God’s plan of salvation from creation, fall, redemption, and life as Christians. Therefore, the entire curriculum is carefully designed to achieve this goal. The church is blessed with a large group of committed teachers and caretakers of our kids. We conduct simultaneous kids’ corporate worship where kids’ friendly Gospel songs are prepared for their corporate worship. Kids have separate age-appropriate classes for learning.
Life Groups is the place where life happens at the Crossroad Church. While the church gathers every Sunday morning for worship and fellowship, it is at the life groups that people get to know each other better, pray, and do life together.
All pastoral needs of our members are dispensed through life groups. Our desire is not to leave anyone behind or ignored! We see our members growing in their discipleship-journey in life group environment.
One of our core values is to be on the Great Commission (Matt 28:19-20) through church planting. While we encourage and equip individuals who are called for career mission work, we emphasize every believer to be missional, i.e., every individual is a carrier of the Great Commission. We have local and national mission initiatives—our missionaries work in the city of Bangalore and around south Asia. Our mission efforts include church planting in south Asia, mercy initiatives, pastoral training, and people group outreach. Our desire is to be “a church for the city; a church for the nation” (cf. Matt 5:14).
Unconditional love, respectful dealing, health & nourishment,
and holistic development
Grow Gospel Initiatives was born as a response to the struggles of economically less privileged people in north Bangalore during covid 19 pandemic. Initially, it began small as a temporary initiative of Crossroad Church with daily supply of hot meals to children and weekly supply of grocery to a few families living in north Bangalore, Whitefield, and a specific neighborhood in New Delhi. During the pandemic season, these children were not attending schools nor were able to receive online education. Upon unofficial research, it was learnt that these children were at risk of dropped out of schools and consequently may potentially enter unorganized labor market. The supply of food and groceries eventually evolved into an evening care center where kids receive nutritious meals, tuition, exercise, and emotional care from Monday to Friday. We felt that God used the pandemic to usher us to this important initiative. What was initially unofficial and temporary eventually became organized and permanent outreach to children of our neighborhood! We decided to name this initiative “Grow Mercy Initiatives.”
